DESCRIPTION:The Monticello Teachers’ Association is proud to present the 11th Annual Tinsel Trot 5k Fun Run! Remember to dress as your favorite holiday character! Your support will provide scholarships for Monticello students as well as benefit local charity! \nFor the past 11 years\, the Tinsel Trot has raised money to support local charities and deserving Monticello High School students in their academic endeavors.  Please help us continue this festive occasion! \nThe race begins at the stop sign between Dutch’s Tavern and the Rock Hill Trading Post. Participants make a left onto Lake Louise Marie Road and then a right onto North Emerald. The race continues on North Emerald until reaching a turnaround just before Old Sackett Road. Runners then continue back to the start of the race and finish at the end of Lake Louise Marie Road. \nBeautiful awards and great post-race lunch

SUMMARY:Crusaders Crush Cancer 5K
DESCRIPTION:We are back for the 3rd annual Crusaders Crush Cancer 5k – the Christmas edition!  Get your holiday running outfits ready! We are ready to make this year bigger and better than last year!  This year’s race is hosted by several of our senior students: Quinn Smith\, Blair Patterson\, Giovanni Abbate\, Michael McTiernan\, and Chris Keating. Their goal is to make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer.  Brendan Fogarty\, class of 2026\, started this event last year to honor his father\, Sean Fogarty’s\, current battle with cancer and to try to help others fighting their own battles with cancer.  Our current group of seniors are continuing this event so that they can help make a difference in the fight against cancer. Proceeds from this event will again be split between two organizations that are especially close to our hearts: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Crusader Care Fund. \nMemorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is one of the world’s leading institutions dedicated solely to cancer care\, research\, and education. Recognized as one of the top two cancer hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report for more than 30 years\, MSK continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in cancer treatment. Their world-class scientists and clinicians work together to translate groundbreaking research into life-saving therapies. MSK’s mission is bold and clear: ending cancer for life. \nThe Crusader Care Fund provides vital support to Archbishop Stepinac High School families facing serious illness. This fund helps ease the financial burdens these families may encounter during incredibly challenging times\, offering relief and solidarity when it is needed most. \nBy participating in the Crusaders Crush Cancer 5K\, you’re not just running—you’re standing with families in our community and contributing to the larger fight to end cancer.  So lace up your shoes and sign up for this fun and festive event!
